DESIGN INTENT
To develop a design appropriate for children in grades K-6 that included a "Medieval Forest" theme.

ISI SOLUTIONS
A broad range of furniture was included in the design including two different sizes of tables and chairs.

On Site Painting of forest-like art elements reduced costs for the school.

Suspended "cloud" ceiling elements added a realistic touch to the "Outdoor Forest" theme.

NEEDS

Emma Frey – a newly constructed school – needed ISI to help their Food Service Program in several different ways. They wanted a "Medieval Forest" look that would appeal to students in K-6. They also needed a floor plan that would accommodate small, kindergarten students and growing 6th graders.
CHALLENGES

ISI was presented with the unique challenge of creating a functional space that would accommodate a broad age range of growing children while still maintaining a cohesive look. ISI was directed to provide a design that fostered school spirit but was not centered on the School Mascot. A constrained budget added to the challenges presented to the ISI Design Team.
