I'm proud to have been part of the ISI team since 2000. Prior to working here, my background includes experience at the Square D Company where I worked from 1984-2000. I came to ISI with pretty much no experience with
the tools we use in the Décor Department, but I am now working on every product from Kohler to McDonalds so it's been quite an educational journey for me. I take pride in doing my best for the customer and myself.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. -Matthew 6:14
Here I get a chance to do what I like to do and unlike some other jobs I've worked at, we will actually get feedback about our work and finished product.
When I hear that a customer really liked what we did, I just love that; it makes it a lot more fun to come to work every day.
Outside ISI, my life revolves around my family and church. I have been married 26 years and I have three grown children and two grandsons. We have a very close knit family. My wife and I see our siblings and parents all the time, they are all in the area. I do volunteer at my church and when I have time I collect records and music. I've always been passionate and curious and I'm pretty sure I'll always be. I'm always trying to learn something new, push the limits, and be creative.
I once had the idea to build a closet in my basement, but make the door a bookcase. (Yes, like the ones you saw in movies when you were a kid!)
I now have my very own secret door, that's fully equipped with a hidden handle, which of course is a book that you pull. I also recently have been on this idea that I want to learn to bake cakes. But not any old birthday cakes; I want to bake "car cakes" with fully functioning headlights. When I'm not brainstorming my next project I enjoy photography, refinishing furniture and we also bowl for fun in a bowling league.
