After serving 3 years in the United States Air Force, I came back home to Wisconsin and started school full-time. While in school, I was also working part-time, and also serving in the Wisconsin Air National Guard. I earned my associate's degree in mechanical design in 1995. While working full-time and starting a family, I attended college classes in the evenings and eventually earned my bachelor's degree in computer science in 2003. I have worked as a mechanical designer for over 14 years in both large and small manufacturing organizations. I gained
experience design tooling, fixtures, internal combustion engines, playground equipment, and furniture. In that time I have transitioned from the drafting board, to 2D computer-aided design, to 3D parametric solid modeling. I have seen a lot of change in my field and I have always embraced that change. I enjoy taking on new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow, both professionally, and personally. I am a firm believer that you never stop learning. I have also worked for 6 years as an application engineer for an Autodesk re-seller. I have

helped many companies successfully implement Autodesk Inventor and Vault data management solutions. My responsibilities included consulting, training, and technical support for hundreds of manufacturing companies. I am an Autodesk Inventor Certified Expert, and Autodesk Manufacturing Implementation Certified Expert. Over the years, I have learned that developing effective, efficient, and consistent processes, and continuously improving them, are keys to success. I enjoy leveraging technology to help automate, manage, and improve the design process.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and had never left the state during my childhood. After high school, I enlisted in the Air Force, and worked as a weapons systems specialist on fighter jets. I got to 'see the world' traveling to Texas, Colorado, Main, Spain, Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. I really enjoyed my time overseas and experiencing other cultures, but I always knew that I would come back home to Wisconsin. My wife Tiffany and I moved to Fond du Lac right after we were married and have been here for the past 20 years. Our three kids keep us busy with their musical interests and sports, and we really enjoy attending their performances and games as a family.
We love traveling the country on family vacations, as well as camping, and hiking together. My son Keegan and I are crazy about airplanes. Keegan and I have attended every EAA AirVenture since 1999 (he was 8 months old for the first one). Recently, we got into the RC airplane hobby and are enjoying building and flying airplanes together. It didn't take long for me to take it a step further and start designing and building my own planes to fly. Some of my other interests include hunting, biking, rollerblading, skiing, and playing drums.
