I started at Interior Systems on September 27th 2004 where I began working in the Shipping and Receiving Department. I enjoyed the problem solving the job demanded and the guys I got to work with back there. When I started to develop pain in my back and feet, I assumed that it was just from the intensity of my position.
I was eventually diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis I was nervous that it would prevent me from working. ISI is such a loyal company, and really treats its employees like family. They ended up finding a position for me that allowed me to work, but was less intense on my joints.
Now, I work mainly on maintenance and repair assignments. It's a new adventure everyday around here. My favorite part of this position is that I'm constantly learning. I have to know how to repair a lot of tools at work, and that has also benefited me outside of the shop. ISI has such a neat company vibe. It's the little things here that make is such a great place to work.
I met Lindsey Bovinet, the owner, at happy hour with the guys. He came right up and introduced himself. Not a lot of people can say they've sat down and had a drink with the owner of the company they work for.
Like most people around here, I was born and raised in Fond du Lac. I graduated from Goodrich High School in 1991 and have stuck around what I know. When I'm not at work, I like getting into projects at home.
A few summers ago I repainted my car, which was a huge undertaking. It ended up being a really fun warm weather project. Besides enjoying random welding projects, I also like live music and am a Nascar fan.
