When I was younger, I always looked at woodworking as more of a chore when I would help out with it around the house; who knew it would end up being something I would choose as a career and actually enjoy doing. I grew up learning how to work with wood from my dad, so I figured this
was fitting since I had a little experience with it already. At ISI I work in Wood Products building plinths and booth backs. As a member in this department, I also help assemble booths when needed. There are times I help wherever I am needed, and I think this helps with staying

motivated doing my job. I think you should always be doing new things to stay mentally sharp, as well as always be open to
learn from others. I try to bring those two philosophies with me to work each day.
I currently reside in Lomira, Wisconsin, which is about 10 miles south of Fond du Lac. Lately I've been really into biking, 5k walks and transitioning to just a healthier lifestyle. I've spent the last few months taking part in as many 5k walk/runs as I can, and I can't seem to get enough of them.
I also am an avid cook and like to experiment with different dishes and even invent some of my own. This hobby has also been extremely beneficial in the process of trying to reach my health goals.
Coming up with dishes that taste great but are healthy at the same time is a definite challenge, but something that's really fun for me.
One of my first jobs was a dish washer at a restaurant. I eventually worked my way up to the line there, and now I help build restaurants. I have this dream of opening my own restaurant someday and I often joke that I would be able to run every part of my establishment if I really wanted!
