My passion is to solve problems and tackle challenges in the simplest and most efficient fashion. Artists, designers, and inventors, who can achieve results in a simple and elegant manner, inspire me. I earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from UW - Madison simply because the required math and science classes allowed me to be a problem solver. With a newly minted engineering degree and 3 summer internships at General Motors, I hit the streets wanting to take in a new direction with computer software. I worked in the computer industry for over 20 years finding solutions as a programmer, project manager,
director, saleswoman and concluded my software career with the sale of a small, successful 14-year-old company that I started with my brother.
Now, with 20+ years of business experience and the desire to learn new things, I am so fortunate to be able to change directions again with ISI. I am energized to dive into the interiors industry and work with the highly talented and creative team members at ISI who share the same values and vision as me.
I look forward to partnering with our customers and teams to find meaningful success with functional and creative space solutions.
"Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance." ― Coco Chanel
Elroy, Wisconsin. Yes, Elroy! You've never heard of it, likely. With a population of 1,200 people, you walk to school alone starting in kindergarten, you keep your front doors unlocked, and you see the grocer, the banker and the pastor at least three times per week usually in the same location. I'm fortunate to have the upbringing in this small town by two wonderful parents that taught me honesty, loyalty, and a strong work ethic are characteristics that lead to true happiness and success. These core values were taught to me with very specific (read, not fun) lessons.
With a dominant right brain, I relish in the creativity of others and in my spare time, I can usually be found in museums, bookstores, or even on street art tours. I love photography and try some experiments on my own. Let's just say I leave it to the professionals. I also find enjoyment in yoga of various kinds to keep things balanced in my head and heart. While it may seem I lean towards the 'softer' side of hobbies, you would think differently if you were with me watching a tied Packers game. I am from Wisconsin after all.
